The issue in this case is one involving an individuals right to privacy under the Alaska Constitution. The question to be determined is whether a tape recording of a suspects conversation with a police officer was properly admitted into evidence at the suspects trial, when the suspect knew, or reasonably should have known, that he was speaking to a police officer, but was not aware that the officer was recording their conversation. We hold that the tape recording was properly admitted.
